I picked up one and within a week I ordered another! These work great when I’m sitting for over an hour and I love having the backrest that gently supports my back. The foot cushion surprised me as to how well it helped my ankles. I don’t know why I waited so long to get them. Wonderful product and great customer service.

Several years ago, I purchased a gray Ungloo meditation box (The original). And, tragedy of tragedies, I put it in a corner of my room never used. You see, I had an Alexia meditation seat($300-$400) That I thought was the Cadillac of meditation seats. Turns out I was wrong. The built-in back rest on the Alexia is just a lip and not enough to give me the support I needed. I always pushed it against the wall or the bed to give me more of a sturdy back rest. Fast-forward, I recently signed up for a community meditation class. It occurred to me that I could bring my portable Ungloo box. Side note, I also noticed that Ungloo Now sold a travel case($49). So I ordered a travel case, packed up my Ungloo box and off I went to meditation class. My Ungloo box generated a lot of curiosity. But more than that, I discovered another level of comfort while meditating! I, a 68 year-old with spinal stenosis, sciatica, arthritis and osteoporosis fell in love. The Ungloo meditation box is the Rolls-Royce of meditation seats! Reasonably priced ($165/outlet-$229), it has the durability and sturdiness I needed. It is lightweight and portable. And, when seated, there is no pinching nor tightness across my lower back. The back rest gives me the support I need on my shoulder blades. Moreover, the pad and blocks give me the comfort I need from knees to ankles. I love it so much that I recently purchased a second chair from the outlet along with a second travel case. I love the meditation box chair. It’s just wait I needed to practice my Yogi meditation without my whole back touching the back of the chair. But just enough to have support on my lower back.And because I had trouble with keeping my legs in an uncomfortable position, I now find the blocks effective in supporting comfort when positioning my legs with them. I have had my box for several years and my love for it only grows more with each passing year. It goes with me when I want to find a secluded spot outside and yet was there for me in the middle of a construction zone as we built our new home. I’ve used it a a prop when needed for physical therapy. Just opening it up sends my heart rate and anxiety level down. I can highly recommend getting this to add to every part of everyday life!

This gives me the back support i need. I also cannot sit comfortably in a butterfly-like position so the wedges help. It helps that i put the box on 2 yoga blocks to raise it up and make it more comfortable on my knees.

I am very pleased with my Ungloo chair. I have adjusted my sitting position to maximize my comfort during meditation. The back support works very well and the seat cushion is super comfortable. The knee supports help with my modified or half lotus position. The style and color are excellent. Its stores nicely in the carrying case. It also has a nice strap to carry.

Just needed a longer foot area so I bought another pad.
The concept of having two blocks (or pedestals) to support the knees was exactly what I was looking for. The Ungloo blocks work, but any movement or bending will displace those blocks. Sitting on a 6" inch high stool, the only option is the highest height configuration. It is not perfectly balanced in that position. I would recommend instead to have a pedestal with a rectangular base and an adjustable height (a sliding column) and at the top a rectangular swing support with cushion and grippers. This will be a better support at the base and at the top.
I purchased an Ungloo Box in early June 2026. It arrived quickly and very well packaged. I intentionally chose to wait a while before posting my review so I could offer a fair opinion after daily use. The Ungloo Box is pure nirvana for me. As an older practitioner I am no longer able to use my Zafu/Zabuton in long sessions without discomfort (comes with age / LOL). Still use them for shorter zazen sessions (old habits!). For long meditation sessions the Ungloo Box is truly amazing. No discomfort whatsoever! It is very comfortable with back and leg support. IMHO the Ungloo Box is purrrfect for a senior citizen practitioner! Or any practitioner who is unable to use traditional means in their practice. Setup is quick and easy - then "just sit" (Ch'an/Zen). Thank you Perry for designing the Ungloo Box and also huge thanks to all the Ungloo staff. You folks totally rock!
Unfortunately, the chair arrived much later than I was originally told -I understand about the shipping issues, but it came with a dent on it similar to the ones sold for a cheaper price on your site. It was a birthday gift and the recipient opened it only to find it damaged. He decided to keep it as it would be a hassle to return, but as a the gift giver, I was very disappointed and a bit embarassed.

This is probably the best purchase I've made for myself in ages. The company communicated so well, it's like they were on the truck with my package. The minute it arrived, I put it together - took about 2 minutes. I set it up and I've used it at least twice a day ever since. I have one knee that only bends about 90 degrees, and the wedges completely resolve that issue. I would buy it again and again. I love it, and I'm never this enthusiastic about hardly anything.

I purchased the original size from the outlet store knowing it would have some blemishes. To be honest unless you are looking for them they are hardly noticeable. As an older person the meditation box really helps. It relies the low back pressure that sitting on the floor causes. It did take some experimenting to find the perfect spot for the knee support, but once I did it has been a pleasure to use.

However, this travel case makes it so much more convenient to transport my chair to my community meditation class and any other place I desire to travel with my Ungloo Box. The travel case is sturdy. It has a strong zipper, padded shoulder strap, and a small side handle for those who might not want to transport it on their shoulder. I love it!
